Welcome!  This course is intended for anyone that is interested in learning more about WCSS and how we support oil and gas spill preparedness programs within our jurisdictional boundaries.  Throughout, the learner will be given an overview of:

  • Regulatory requirements in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan
  • The WCSS membership fee formula
  • WCSS equipment, and how to access it during a spill or for in-house training
  • Types of training available
  • Spill reporting requirements
  • How the Incident Command System (ICS) can effectively support a spill response

This orientation serves as the prerequisite for all Coop eLearning and Field  training exercises – completion of this 20-minute video will not need to be repeated to attend multiple exercises.  Upon completion of 3 knowledge checks, the learner will be able to download or print their own certificate.
