Prerequisite: Completion of all of the following learning contents required to start.
Western Canadian Spill Services Orientation (course)

Oil spill response in winter conditions often presents a multitude of complexities that are not typically found at responses in other seasons.  Specialized and conventional equipment is needed, and clear safety rules must always be observed when identifying response tactics.  This course is Part 2 of the Oil Spill Containment & Recovery in a Water Body with an Ice Sheet coop exercise - completion of the WCSS Orientation being Part 1.  Once a learner has been certified in both online training components, attendance at the associated field exercise is the final step to ensure that regulatory requirements are met for WCSS member companies.

OSCAR in a Water Body with an Ice Sheet will take approximately 30 minutes to complete, with knowledge checks that are incorporated throughout. At the completion of this module, the learner will be able to download or print their own certificate.
