Prerequisite: Completion of all of the following learning contents required to start.
Western Canadian Spill Services Orientation (course)

WCSS member companies are required to be prepared to respond to a release of their product into any environment; land and wetlands being no exception.  Proper identification of wetland types and familiarity with tools and tactics to prevent further migration is critical to ensuring an effective response strategy. The WCSS equipment inventory can support some aspects of a response to land and/or wetland and acknowledges the importance of pre-planning and working directly
with Subject Matter Experts to ensure optimal preparedness.

This course is Part 2 of the Oil Spill Containment & Recovery in a Water Body in Land and Wetland co-op exercise - completion of the WCSS Orientation being Part 1. Once a learner has been certified in both online training components, attendance at the associated field exercise is the final step to ensure that regulatory requirements are met for WCSS member companies.

OSCAR in Land and Wetland Environments will take approximately 30 minutes to complete, with knowledge checks that are incorporated throughout. Upon completion of this module, the learner will be able to download or print their own certificate.
