Prerequisite: Completion of all of the following learning contents required to start.
Western Canadian Spill Services Orientation (course)

Lakes and standing water may offer a more contained environment to conduct oil spill response activities, but they are still subject to varying challenges that must be considered regularly.  Specialized and conventional response equipment is needed, and clear safety rules must always be observed when identifying response tactics.

This course is Part 2 of the Oil Spill Containment & Recovery in a Water Body in a Lake coop exercise - completion of the WCSS Orientation being Part 1.  Once a learner has been certified in both online training components, attendance at the associated field exercise is the final step to ensure that regulatory requirements are met for WCSS member companies.

OSCAR in a Lake will take approximately 30 minutes to complete, with knowledge checks that are incorporated throughout. At the completion of this module, the learner will be able to download or print their own certificate.
