Step 1: Western Canadian Spill Services Orientation (course), Step 2: Oil Spill Containment & Recovery in a Water Body with an Ice Sheet (course)

Winter Exercise Outcome Goal:
To enable attendees to assist the Operations Section Chief or designate with the deployment of specialized and conventional response equipment, to contain and recover spilled material in winter conditions.

Attendees will be offered the opportunity to get hands-on training with WCSS equipment that can be expected to be used at a release site during winter months. Tactics for both standing water and water with a current beneath an ice sheet will be reviewed using safe and effective decision-making as the underlying theme.
